A great point!!! Politics and Religion don’t require research, experimentation, and logic!! Science is Humility AND Religion is more like “I’m right about everything!”.

DON’;T QUESTION, DON;T ASK!! Well, I’m afraid I have to ask, cause I happened to be awake and even think!! — feeling irritated.

Is Religion controlling you? Are you stuck in a dogmatic, superstitious, and religious prison? We can not always be guided or dictated by Religions and Faith, as time is changing fast and life progresses. God & Religion are NOT going to give you nor do you anything, if YOU don’t do anything.. I see Religion as something to enhance your life and spirituality to comfort you, and keep you hopeful (at least it should be), but NOT scare you, and limit your possibility with do’s and don’ts, and to live to your fullest potential. Hence we have to go by our personal instinct in accordance with the changed atmosphere. I personally, will live on my own terms and conditions. Nobody, and nothing has a right to dictate terms. Free yourself and live outside the box, keep always an open mind, and stay curious .. question everything, there is NO such thing as “truth”, no book has the truth, it’s for you to find out.. that is if you break out of the box!

Islam is not just a religion; it’s a way of life, it is an entire system of control. Islam controls what people eat, when they eat, when they pray, how they pray, sit, walk .. what they wear.. and it doesn’t matter if you are not a believer— they have laws for the unbelievers as well. They call unbelievers “kafir” and they are considered 3rd rate citizens, with less rights than Muslim men and women. Islam controls a third of the world, 2 billion souls, and will not stop until it has global dominance. They are not looking to find balance, equality, tolerance for all, freedom of speech, reason, rational of “secular” democracy.. and despite of that, they are demanding it in Western lands for themselves, you will not find it in Muslim countries visa versa as a non believer.. IT’S NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!

They are using freedom of speech, democracy, tolerance etc.. for their own advantage, the outcome and goal will always be, either establishing a Caliphate, or gain power and control.. to continue where the Arab Empire (in med-evil times) and Ottoman Empire left off before WW1.

It’s deception at work. Find out what “Taqiyya” means (takkiya)—it is a danger to all who are unaware if the intent of Islam. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taqiyya

This is a little disgusting and crass. I like it!! It’s not clever, it’s spot ON. If it seems childish, perhaps you don’t like your religion reduced to a metaphor about the male genitalia and oral rape, but it’s still apt, and would you like to defend how your religion just so happens to resemble “sometimes” oral rape, or you just clueless, butt-hurt, and satisfied with your initial “zing!”?

Keep it to yourself, out of schools, and out of government! Religion is a matter of privacy, live and let live.

PS: I would add to the end of that: “and you shouldn’t discriminate against people who don’t have one.”

Bangladesh widens crackdown on ‘blasphemous’ atheist bloggers

So this is what happens in Bangledouche? The world player Bangladesh has widened a crackdown on allegedly blasphemous blogs after a threat by Islamic groups to march to the capital demanding the prosecution of atheist bloggers, an official said on Wednesday. I think it’s fair to demand a crackdown on fundamentalist religious groups too! Ignorant superstition is poisoning everything. Religion’s like crack.. which gang is in charge to control the area! Sad world!!!! Anyway, it’s good to know that in a diseased, starving nation, this is what they worry about. (*just like that other god forsaken spot called north Africa)

What really is blasphemy is the religious people that cannot tolerate other views. An open mind, respect others views, free speech is not in their vocabulary. But funny enough, that they demand that for themselves. That is blasphemy against humanity.

The Islamist primitives know that spreading truth and enlightenment via the Internet is a huge threat.

The burqa is cultural, not religious. Let me repeat it again: The burqa is cultural, not religious. I support hijab (at free will) anytime (after all, we got Nuns, Jewish women who cover themselves up etc), this right here is absurd, and intolerable in the 21st century. I just can’t take anyone serious if they are going to wear a full body mask. I’m just going to stare at them and laugh, not to mention safety-wise and the identification issues. It’s a joke.
Yes, there are women out there who choose to wear this, but the majority DON’T. THE MAJORITY DON’T!!*Notice; the child abuse, these children are brainwashed, and grow up to be “loving” burqa obeying “yes”-women! No woman should walk (or float the earth) like a Harry Potter Dementor, it’s demeaning, religion or not.
I fully support BURQA BAN

February 25 is the anniversary of a dark day in Science History. Religion should NOT have power over Science, or Politics!

In 1616, Galileo Galilei (1564-1642), Italian mathematician and astronomer, was ordered by the Catholic Church to recant his statements that the Earth revolves around the Sun and not vice versa. He gave in to the demands the following day. In 1633, he was tried again for heresy, this time being sentenced to house arrest, where he lived out the remainder of his life.

More Young People Are Moving Away From Religion, But Why?

One-fifth of Americans are religiously unaffiliated — higher than at any time in recent U.S. history — and those younger than 30 especially seem to be drifting from organized religion. A third of young Americans say they don’t belong to any religion.

NPR Morning Edition co-host David Greene wanted to understand why, so he gathered a roundtable of young people at a synagogue in Washington, D.C. The Historic 6th & I Synagogue seemed like the right venue: It’s both a holy and secular place that has everything from religious services to rock concerts. Greene speaks with six people — three young women and three young men — all struggling with the role of faith and religion in their lives.

"We are drowning in information, while starving for wisdom" or the very best bits from E.O. Wilson

The toxic mix of religion and tribalism has become so dangerous as to justify taking seriously the alternative view, that humanism based on science is the effective antidote, the light and the way at last placed before us.

Are religious people stupid?

If independent thinking, and freedom of will is removed, then I think the answer is YES! http://beinghuman.blogs.fi/2013/01/10/are-religious-people-stupid-15416095/

How much certainty do we really need?

Great article!! Human imagination has no boundaries. Both modern science and religions are in the end just human ideas. They contain descriptions for phenomena that had existed for billions of years before mankind arrived to marvel at them.

These phenomena will also exist for billions and billions of years after the human race with all its different notions of science and religions will have vanished from the face of the Earth.

“Reality is that which does not go away when you stop believing in it.” —Philip K. Dick

Yay, Great News from the Arab Spring!!! Egypt is fucked. I was asked many times about the so called Arab Spring, and I have given my opinion pretty clear, uneducated illiterate majority will vote for uneducated illiterate leaders. (see Libya, Tunisia etc..) It’s like Children at school, who will certainly vote for candy for lunch and never again homework for the rest of the year. !?! That’s what democracy means, you get what the majority deserves, not.. you get the “right” person for the job! (Thanks Faisal)
